How We Know
rethinking belief
in an internet age
an educated population
Young people today grow up immersed in an unprecedented flow of information. Without explicit guidance on how to evaluate sources, distinguish evidence from opinion, and recognize flawed reasoning, even well-intentioned students can be drawn toward misinformation, simplistic narratives, or unfounded conspiracy theories.
The challenge facing our schools is not a lack of information, but a lack of structured opportunities to develop critical thinking.
If we want future generations to responsibly address complex global challenges—such as climate change, technological disruption, and geopolitical risk—we must begin by equipping students with the intellectual tools to question, analyze, and discuss ideas thoughtfully.
Education that fosters discernment, curiosity, and open dialogue is not optional; it is foundational to a resilient and informed society.

Our mission
1
we build tools
We develop and distribute resources—typically 9-minute videos—that prompt high-school students to engage in thoughtful discussion.
We expect our first video to come out in August 2026.
2
....that support teachers
After viewing the resource, teachers draw on their expertise to facilitate class discussion and support students as they explore how valid opinions are formed.
3
....and promote
student development
Through repeated practice, students sharpen their critical-thinking skills and gain the ability to construct reliable knowledge independently.
